Hasan Shakur was murdered by the state of Texas at the age of 29. Shakur dedicated his time in prison to supporting the struggles of the oppressed, eventually becoming Minister of Human Rights for the New Afrikan Black Panther Party - Prison Chapter. With no physical evidence this Black man was sentenced to death for murder. But he did not fear the state because he knew that the struggle was much bigger than him and that it would continue to grow in the face of injustice.
