Oppose Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA)
Philippines Fliers
Philippines Death Toll 1,400,026 *
After Afghanistan, the Philippines became the second front in the U$ war on terrorism. Since 9/11 over 10,000 U$ troops have been deployed to the Philippines, and in March 2003 plans to send 3000 combat troops was barely stopped (at least temporarily) at the last minute since it would violate the Filipino Constitution. These troops serve to train and assist the fascist forces of the puppet government including both military and paramilitary forces that terrorize and murder members of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the New People's Army and various National Democratic Front organizations.
Genocide and the u$ invasion of the Philippines
In December 1898, the united $tates purchased the Philippines and other territories from Spain at the Treaty of Paris for the sum of 20 million u$ dollars, after they defeated a floundering colonial Spain in the Spanish-Amerikkkan War. Filipinos had already declared themselves an independent state and sovereign nation after years of heroic fighting against Spain when the u$ sent 11,000 ground troops to begin years of genocidal slaughter. This occupation continues today through the Visiting Forces Agreement that allows u$ troops on Filipino soil and through imperial domination of the Filipino economy. *This is only a total of data reported at imperialismkills.org and is not necessarily a complete statistic
